ME&V Wins Top Award in Telly Competition

CEDAR FALLS (April 27, 2005) - For the fourth year in a row, ME&V earned a prestigious Telly Award. This year, it brought home top honors earning the Silver Telly® for the animation of Quadro, ME&V’s animated corporate logo.

ME&V’s winning entry was among more than 10,000 Telly Award entries. Quadro competed against other film and video category winners including ABCNews.com, E! Networks, Discovery Kids, ESPN, Fox Sports Net SW, Microsoft Corporation, Miramax Films, NBA Entertainment, and Nike, Inc. The Telly is the premiere award honoring outstanding local, regional, and national cable television commercials and programs, as well as video and film productions.

Mark Mathis, partner and creative director, sketched and named Quadro, which is Latin for square and the shape of ME&V’s logo. Jon Simpson, lead animator at ME&V, brought Quadro to life with his animation. "Quadro's basic design is rather simple, but replicating the intricacies of human movement is what may have separated this animation from competitors," says Simpson. "It was actually my young daughter that inspired the ballet dance."

Quadro appears under a spotlight on a stage and breaks into a series of moves reminiscent of a ballet dancer. Quadro can be seen at ME&V’s Web site at www.MEandV.com.

ME&V was established in 1996 and has worked with more than 450 clients throughout the country offering advertising; public relations; in-house video, film and hi-definition production; Web design; research; graphic design; media placement and fundraising services.
