ME&V President to Speak at International Fundraising Conference
CEDAR FALLS (March 19, 2007) - ME&V President Dee Vandeventer will present “Media Relations: The Best of Times and the Worst of Times” on Tuesday, March 27 in Dallas, Texas, at the 44th International Conference on Fundraising. The conference, sponsored by the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP), offers networking events, educational sessions and presentations from the nation’s leading fundraising experts.
Vandeventer’s educational session will provide useful hints to help organizations experience the best of times when working with the media. Conference attendees will gain a better understanding on ways to build better media relations, learn techniques for better message communication and formulate strategies for crisis management.
Vandeventer has worked as a fundraising and public relations professional for more than two decades, most recently as managing partner of ME&V, a fundraising consultancy working with nonprofit organizations throughout the country. Her writings appear in numerous publications and she has shared her knowledge with others in the field through speaking engagements such as the AFP International Conference in Toronto, Baltimore and Atlanta.
More than 4,000 AFP members and other professionals will attend the conference in Dallas to network with colleagues and attend sessions. Lance Armstrong and Brooke Shields will speak at the conference at the Dallas Convention Center March 25 through 28.
