CEDAR FALLS (August 30, 2006) - The deadline is approaching for Cedar Valley nonprofit organizations to submit an answer to ME&V to the question, “If you had some extra money, what creative and innovative way would you use it?”
The Cedar Valley United Way will donate a minimum of $1,000 in proceeds from the ME&V 10-Year Anniversary Bike Ride to the nonprofit organization deemed to have the most creative and innovative use for the funds. Nonprofit organizations are asked to e-mail their answer to bikeride@meandv.com by Friday, Sept. 8.
Answers can also be mailed to ME&V, Attention: Justin Tolan, 6711 Chancellor Drive, Cedar Falls, Iowa 50613.
ME&V, a specialized, full-service advertising and fundraising agency, will hold a 10K (6.2-mile) family bike ride and a 25-mile poker ride, on the 10th anniversary of the day ME&V was founded, Sunday, Oct. 1.
A rain date is set for Sunday, Oct. 8. Ride check-in will begin at 12:30 p.m. in the ME&V parking lot, 6711 Chancellor Drive, Cedar Falls. The 25-mile poker ride begins at 1 p.m. and the 10K family bike ride begins at 1:15 p.m. Helmets are required. The rides will take place on the Cedar Falls bike trails.
