ME&V Creative Director to Train Furniture Industry Managers

CEDAR FALLS (May 17, 2006) - Mark Mathis, creative director and a partner at ME&V, will serve as a faculty member for the National Home Furnishing Association (NHFA) Management Development Institute (MDI). MDI takes place May 21 – 24 at High Point University in High Point, NC.

Mathis is one of seven faculty members selected for MDI. According to the NHFA, all are respected and knowledgeable experts with a thorough understanding of retailing and the home furnishings industry. He will teach the MDI curriculum on advertising and marketing management, educating furniture industry managers on how to rejuvenate their advertising, differentiate their marketing and improve their Web sales.

Mathis recently authored an article for “The Retailer,” the monthly magazine of the NHFA. The article, “Look to the Lone Ranger for Branding Inspiration,” appeared in the March issue and explained how Mathis uses the Lone Ranger as a metaphor for effective branding.

The NHFA is the nation’s largest organization devoted specifically to the needs and interests of home furnishings retailers. NHFA’s membership comprises 2,000 corporate entities representing 10,000 stores in all 50 states and several foreign countries.
