ME&V Gets Ink in Inc. Magazine

CEDAR FALLS (October 20, 2005) - The ME&V building in the Cedar Falls industrial park is featured in the October issue of Inc. magazine. The advertising agency’s office space is included in the article “Trading Office Spaces” which, according to the magazine, features some of the nation’s most stunning workspaces, showing how office design can transform a company.

The article includes a two-page photo of the company’s two-story wing with its copper monolith focal point and giant wooden electric plug sculpture. ME&V Partners Mark Mathis, Bryan Earnest, Dee Vandeventer and Jim Infelt are also in the photo.

ME&V is in the business of brand extension, the article explains, so the company commissioned local artist William Close to fashion the giant extension cord that hangs like a chandelier over the monolith. Hovey Brom of InVision Architecture in Waterloo, Iowa designed the area of the building featured in the magazine.

The article says ME&V is one of five companies that made a big statement through the design of its office space with a reasonable budget. Other featured companies include Dwell, a San Francisco publishing company, AVMetro, an on-site technical production management company in Raleigh, N.C., M Financial Group, a life insurance and wealth management company in Portland, Oregon and Venables, Bell & Partners, a San Francisco advertising agency.

“We are pleased to be included in the article and see Bill and Hovey receive credit for their creative work,” said Vandeventer. “They created a great environment for us.” This isn’t the first time the agency has received ink in Inc. The magazine has twice listed ME&V in its annual Inc. 500 ranking of the fastest-growing private companies in the country.

ME&V is a full-service advertising agency with offices in Cedar Falls and Cedar Rapids. The agency serves clients through its Advertising and Consulting, Fundraising Advisers, Healthcare Marketing and Nonprofit Marketing divisions.
